The Billing system will enable Comium in the Ivory Coast and Gambia to skilfully handle all billing services, customer care functions, interconnect and roaming agreements, and customer self-care Internet access for prepaid and post-paid subscribers connected to its GSM and GPRS networks.
The bilingual ESKADENIA Billing & Customer Relationship Management System (ESKADENIA® BCRM) is a high-performance, mission-critical software application that enables real-time billing in telecommunications networks. The modular software solution comprises Customer Relationship Management, Marketing, Service Provisioning, Product & Pricing Management, Rate Plan Management, Rating, Billing, TAP 3.11 Roaming, Interconnect and Revenue Sharing modules, in addition to an advanced Point of Sale system.
ESKADENIA will also deploy its Web-enabled GSM and GPRS Mediation Gateways that collect call data from the switches, convert them into relevant formats, and forward them to any destination. ESKADENIA® Mediation Gateway can be connected immediately to any switch brand and switch version. The Mediation Gateways at the Comium new operations will be interfaced to Huawei Mobile Switch Centre (MSC), Huawei Base Station Controllers (BSC), and Huawei Intelligent Network.
ESKADENIA® BCRM and ESKADENIA® Mediation Gateway have been completely designed and developed at ESKADENIA in accordance with both the GSM and CCITT recommendations for billing and number plan standards. Additionally, the Billing & Customer Relationship Management System supports billing for landline telephony services and Intelligent Network services. It also supports the billing of customers by the second, which is an essential value to its charging capabilities. Both systems have been deployed on Sun Microsystems hardware platform.
"The successful deployment of the BCRM System for our two new operations (Ivory Coast & Gambia) marks the fourth rewarding installation of ESKADENIA's GSM Billing Solution for COMIUM Group. The latest release of the BCRM application enabled us to offer a lucrative, efficient, and flexible business solution to cater for our remote operations by making use of the most advanced practices in both the Telecommunication and Computer industries," said Mr. Fouad C. Dandan, Vice President of C-systems, ICT Arm of Comium Group Holding.
"The Ivorian telecoms and mobile GSM markets are set to witness exponential growth into the future. Comium, as one of four license holders in the Ivorian market, is planning the commercial launch of the new network in the 2nd quarter of 2007", (By Comium, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, July 5, 2006).
Mr Nael Salah, Managing Director of ESKADENIA Software Solutions stated,
"We take pride in deploying our billing systems for Comium's new operations in the Ivory Coast and Gambia. We would like to consider these new orders from Comium as an indication of the high level of customer satisfaction ESKADENIA has achieved from the previous billing projects with Comium."
