Health and safety experts from all over the world will gather in Dubai on 21 January for the much anticipated opening of Intersec's Health & Safety Exhibition and Conference 2007.
More than 600 exhibitors are expected to attend the show, which looks set to be the largest and best attended to date.
The event, which provides a platform for companies and experts to launch new products, ideas and designs in the field of health and safety, also offers a networking environment for industry trade visitors, professionals and decision-makers.
Opportunities include; making contact with internationally renowned government bodies, organisations and delegations, identifying market opportunities, obtaining an overview about occupational health and safety standards in the Middle East and building and reinforcing existing business relationships.
Intersec has already received international recognition and encouragement from the world's premier health and safety organisations including the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) - Europe's leading body for health and safety professionals, with nearly 30,000 members' globally - and the National Examination board in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH).
IOSH, an international non-governmental organisation, is pledging its support to Intersec 2007 by hosting its first health and safety Middle East conference on 23 January, alongside Intersec 2007, after launching its regional branch in 2006.
Experts visiting Safety & Health Middle East at Intersec, will see the launch of the latest technologies in their fields, from e-learning tools and protective clothing to state-of-the-art emergency equipment.
Coastal Training Technologies brings their online safety training courses, ClarityNet, to the region. The e-learning packages use video imaging and customizable courseware to provide employees with entertaining and educational courses in improving safety and quality of life.
In the area of fire safety, Lakeland introduces its new range of Pyrolon coverall's which offer users a unique combination of chemical protection and flame retardency. The lightweight fabric has developed to resist ignition and burning as well as protecting the wearer against chemical contact.
Also making its debut at Intersec Heath & Safety, is ChemMAX by Lakeland; another new range of lightweight disposable chemical suits that provide protection against a broad spectrum of hazardous chemicals. The suits are flexible to ensure maximum movement and comfort.
ASR Inc, who are specialised in ropes, rescue harnesses, rescue kits, tripods and stretchers, will be launching their new concrete cutters as part of a demonstration of three saws that each cut through different materials from wood and light-gauge steels, to concrete and iron.
Bacou-Dallouz will be showcasing four of their latest products: Lightning® Hi-Visibility Series; noise blocking earmuffs with reflecting headbands. Pulsafe® FitLogic™ offers the first safety eyewear. Bacou-Dallouz signed license agreement with Timberland PRO® to provide safey footwear as well as workwear jackets and gloves. Bacou-Dallouz developed Miller Revolutionary Harness which will be displayed at Intersec 2007.
Balder will introduce the ,,New Generation" of autodarkening welding filters which is the advanced Angular Dependence Compensation (ADC) technology. This technology uses a revolutionary concept of liquid crystals to optimise viewing areas.
Petzl, the market leaders for work and rescue at heights equipment and techniques, will hang ropes from the ceiling of Zabeel Hall and demonstrate the latest rescue ,rapeling' techniques. Petzl was established 30 years ago by two avid cavers, Paul and his father Fernand, produces safety products for those who work at heights and difficult access rescue scenarios.
Other exhibitors include MSA, the world's leading manufacturer of sophisticated safety products, AEARO with its brands E.A.R. and Peltor, pioneers in the field of hearing protection and head and face protectors.
EC Harris, JSP, KERMEL, Tempex Austria, Midas and footwear specialists Evol and Diadora will also be participating, alongside experts in PPE (personal protective equipment) Deltaplus Group, who will be opening their UAE branch (Deltaplus Middle East) on 1 January.
