The outcome of the participation was "very positive", a statement reads.

"Cityscape is the most prestigious real estate trade fair in the Middle East and, for Sviluppo Lazio, - stated Stefano Cortini, Sviluppo Lazio's Marketing & Foreign Investment Manager - it was an important opportunity to meet and share experiences with investors and developers that are part of this strongly growing market and major capital investments. Our participation in the Dubai trade fair is part of our agency's territorial marketing activities aimed at attracting investments towards the areas in Lazio that receive EU Structural Fund allocations."

During the three days of the fair the region presented its strong points characteristic of its economic and production system and presented 20 new investment opportunities in various sectors, from the high-tech to logistics, from tourism to industrial parks.

Italian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Paolo Dionisi greeted the Italian delegation, composed of Sviluppo Lazio, the Province of Rome and the public real estate agency. Dionisi presented the investment opportunities scenario in the United Arab Emirates, pointing as strategic sectors aerospace, research, boating, agriculture, tourism and infrastructures.

For Dionisi the major necessities are noticed in the field of education, where there is need of a scientific district in Dubai, while security, development, food self-sufficiency and environment are the foundations of the economic policy of the area. Recalling the forthcoming Dubai International Film Festival, the ambassador expressed hopes for a possible twinning with the Rome Film Festival.

Amalia Colaceci, councillor for local policies at the Province of Rome, expressed her appreciation for the relaunch and promotion of the Lazio territorial system which will be made completely with the participation of the Province, the Municipality and the Rome Chamber of Commerce together with the Region of Lazio and Sviluppo Lazio in MIPIM 2007, the international property market in Cannes in March.
