The exhibition, which will run until December 15, features over 65 local and international companies dealing in products and services for women. The exhibition timings are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Since Women Expo 2006 caters to the needs and interests of women, entry to the six-day event is restricted to ladies and families only.

"Women Expo is very timely in the face of the important contribution of a growing number of women in the social and economic development of the sultanate,"

said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the company that first launched the event last year.

Paul pointed out that this year's edition of the event is bigger than in 2005 with the participation of more companies from Oman and from other countries worldwide.
