The signing is part of BinHendi Enterprises' regional expansion plans, which started in 2003 with the first Second Cup cafe opening on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohi-Din BinHendi, President of BinHendi Enterprises, the master franchisee of Second Cup for a majority of the Middle East, said that "the signing is testimony to the company's commitment to offer the best coffee experience to consumers across the region."
Given the tremendous customer response to Second Cup cafes in Dubai, as well as the rising popularity of the brand, this signing is in line with the company's ambitious growth strategy to become a leading retailer in the increasing specialty coffee segment across the region.
"High levels of customer service and an innovative line up of specialty coffee, tea, bakery products and light snacks are the hallmarks of Second Cup and we are delighted to bring the Second Cup coffee experience to Egypt along with Yasser and his team."
From the outset, Plaza Property Management's plans are to open a flagship Second Cup cafe in Cairo, situated in the new City Star Mall. They will also open cafes in other areas of the Sharm El sheikh and Alexandria in its future growth plans.
Commenting on the plans for the region, Mr. Binhendi concluded, "Trends strongly indicate the region is shifting to a more qualitative cup of coffee. We are fully geared to expand Second Cup and are eagerly anticipating sharing our unique coffee experience with customers in markets throughout the Middle East."
