Of particular interest were the efforts the leading regional property development firm SNASCO is developing, where many visitors to its wing recognized the importance of their three main projects under construction in the UAE - namely The West Bay in Dubai and Al Basateen and Sharjah Investment Centre (SIC) in Sharjah.
On the first day Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of Emirates Investment Group and Chairman of Emirates Global Islamic Bank, visited the SNASCO stand where both him and Mr. Saleh Al Sorayai, Chairman of SNASCO, showed their admiration for the firm's projects, in particular the SIC. Al Qassimi expressed the importance and the need for Sharjah to develop such projects:
'Sharjah is in need to develop such mega-projects and is in need of the industry's 'best' to develop these mega projects to the highest of standards. SNASCO has the capability to execute their developments to these standards while maintaining the characteristics that makes Sharjah unique, at the same time as keeping in mind the needs of its local residents and its newcomers.' said Al Qassimi.
On the second day H.E. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman visited the SNASCO stand. Al Nuaimi assured that the U.A.E is in need for such complete projects that include industrial, residential, commercial and leisure areas.
'Besides individual residential projects, the U.A.E needs complete industrial mega-projects. We are making all possible efforts to revolutionize the emirate through creating suitable laws and finding ways to achieve the best results of such projects.' said Al Nuaimi.
The stand welcomed on its last day H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Qassimi, Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Petroleum Council, where he spoke of the importance of the SIC, and the need for such projects in Sharjah.
'Sharjah's infrastructure is totally ready to have more vast projects. Our emirate will offer all possible facilities for all property developers to establish more mega projects, and contribute in the emirate's development', said Al Qassimi.
Al Sorayai visited most of the expedition's stands, where he saw the latest projects, and discussed future ways of co-operation with those taking part. Speaking of the attention his own stand received, he said: ' We are proud with the amount of key personalities who had taken time out to visit our stand at Cityscape and for the trust they have shown in our projects. This attention further encourages us to put our best foot forwards and continue to add value to the UAE's development record.'
