Khalid Al Zarooni, President of Dubai Sports City said: "Having the ability to distribute electricity independently is, of course, vital to the entire project.

"We were very impressed with the professionalism displayed by both Siemens and Electrowatt and are extremely confident that they will become a key partner in our world leading project, Dubai Sports City.

"Siemens was selected due to its established expertise in providing high voltage
substations to the UAE. Siemens is one of the major contractors for turnkey 132kv substations with DEWA, currently completing eight such stations in addition to the nine already established, "added Mr Al Zarooni.
