Dubai Municipality and INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions have organized a press conference for the "2nd International Conference & Exhibition - Architectural Conservation Opportunities and Challenges in the 21st Century"
The conference was held at the Emirates Towers, in the presence and support of the Deputy Director General at Dubai Municipality Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah and the Director of General Projects department at Dubai Municipality Engineer Rashad M. Bukhash and Engineer Anas Al Madani, Vice President of INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions Org Establishment, Member of INDEX Holding.
The conference and exhibition will be supported by UNESCO, The International Council on Monuments and Sites(ICOMOS), The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), The Organization of Islamic Capitals and Cities (OICC), Arab Urban Development Institute, Al Turath Establishment - KSA, The UAE Society of Engineers, Saudi Council of Engineers, Architecture & Heritage society, American University in Sharjah, Ajman University, Dubai Cultural Council, General Secretariat of Municipalities-UAE & Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Moreover, Mezen and Dubai Properties will participate as Gold Sponsors, Emaar Properties will participate as Platinum Sponsor and Khansaheb and AMG Arab Media Group will participate as Silver Sponsors.
Specialised participants in the field of architectural conservation and heritage along with the municipalities and museums and Engineers committees, locally and internationally are working hard to ensure a strong participation in the conference that generates over 210 scientific researches from 37 countries about the latest analyses on heritage and conservation.
The conference shall work on generating and improving the public awareness among the sectors working in the architectural field, as well as highlighting the role of technology, computers and databases in documenting urban and architectural conservation projects.
In addition to the conference, specialised local, regional and international companies in architectural conservation will also participate in an exhibition focused on the architectural conservation field. German and Austrian Villages will include companies specialised in isolation, humidity control, lighting networks for heritage sites, suppliers of granite and marble, as well as the participation of the interior design companies that furnish the museums and heritage sites.
The "2nd International Conference & Exhibition - Architectural Conservation Opportunities and Challenges in the 21st Century" seeks to discuss the reflection of urban and architectural conservation policies on the potential role of the city with the aim of attaining a harmonious development that combines the history and modern development.
