BICSI Middle East Conference opened yesterday

The Exhibitors include leading manufacturers and vendors related to the telecommunications industry such as Avaya Communication, Belden Wire & Cable, Fluke Europe, Molex Premise Networks, Naizak Global Engineering Systems and Nordx, AMP Netconnect and HES Cabling Systems.

The International Telecommunications Association, BICSI has offered a conference for the first time in the Middle East. This conference has attracted participation from delegates all over the world and especially the UAE as more than 50% of delegates are local with Etisalat being the largest delegation.
Speakers, representing diverse companies and various aspects of the industry, from Saudi Arabia, UK and US addressed the delegates today on various topics such as "Best Practises in Grounding and Power Protection for Communication sites", "The Evolution of fiber test requirements" and "Introduction to Voice Over IP". The presentations were strictly non-commercial, knowledgeable and relevant to the Middle East marketplace.

This conference will earn those professionals with an RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification, which is an internationally recognised credential in the telecommunications industry, 7 extra continuing education points.
