Relationship between the Department of Architecture of AUSTN and the Art-Academy Frankfurt - Staedelschule

The Department of Architectural Engineering at AUSTN started in October its conversation with the famous master class of architecture at the "Staedelschule" one of the most influential academies worldwide.
The master class of the "Staedelschule" is known for its offer of introduction to and training in advanced contemporary problems in architectural design where the innovative potential of the designer is seen to contribute to the social, cultural and economical developments of the contemporary city. One of the most famous and innovative architects in the world, Ben van Berkel, is running the class together with Johann Bettum.
As a leading institution, the school of architecture will take with this cooperation further action to support its faculty and students, as well as the public, in participating in the discussion of urban development and architectural questions in the UAE and the region. Michael Schwarz, who studied from 1988 - 1991 at the academy is very satisfied with the ongoing process.
"The relationship with the Staedelschule shows the high interest of the leading architectural institutions in the region and in our University. I am sure; we will have a highly successful cooperation in the future. This will lead to a professional and a highly creative teamwork with local and regional organizations in discussing the future of our cities and our architecture at this unique place. We as Academia are ready to support." Schwarz mentioned.
