Meeting the networking needs of the international e-learning and distance education industry, the annual Online Educa Berlin conference is the key networking venue for strategists and practitioners from all over the world. With 2000 participants from 93 countries, Online Educa Berlin delegates are high-level decision makers from education, business and government - the three key areas driving e-learning adoption and innovation, making it the most important networking venue for experts, practitioners and newcomers from all over the world. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition.

In the ITEP presentation at Online Educa Berlin 2006, Mrs. Hind Al Moala, Special Project Director at ITEP detailed the IT programs applied in the public schools of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Criteria for judging the success of the participating programs were level of creativity for the presentation, the category chosen and size of the group.

Since its inception in 2000, ITEP began teaching IT in schools and now provides courses in 39 public high schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The project has so far trained over 75000 students - an average of 13,000 students every year. In 2002, four ITEP students won the prize in the web designing contest for the Arab region in Jordan. Also, ITEP students ranked among the top ten in "UAE Educational IT Challenge" in 2004, 2005and 2006 consecutively. Teachers from ITEP were ranked among the top ten in the same challenges.
