In the ITEP presentation at Online Educa Berlin 2006, Mrs. Hind Al Moala, Special Project Director at ITEP detailed the IT programs applied in the public schools of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. She stressed that all ITEP's programs adopt a new method that combines the benefits of e-learning and the traditional learning to offer the students a comprehensive and efficient learning methodology.
Criteria for judging the success of the participating programs were level of creativity for the presentation, the category chosen and size of the group.
Since its inception in 2000, ITEP began teaching IT in schools and now provides courses in 39 public high schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The project has so far trained over 75000 students - an average of 13,000 students every year. In 2002, four ITEP students won the prize in the web designing contest for the Arab region in Jordan. Also, ITEP students ranked among the top ten in "UAE Educational IT Challenge" in 2004, 2005and 2006 consecutively. Teachers from ITEP were ranked among the top ten in the same challenges.

Amal Belhasa, the Deputy Director, ITEP said in her comments on the occasion. "Being the best high school IT model will definitely encourage us to further our efforts and develop the programs in order to reach all people in UAE."
