At Samsung, we embody the same values, and look forward to see who emerges as the winner this year."
Introduced at the 1998 Bangkok Asian Games, the Samsung MVP Award is the only award recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC).
A distinguished Steering Committee, consisting of officials from DAGOC, the OCA, and Samsung, as well as former athletes and sports journalists, carefully screened each Asian Games athlete and nominated the most accomplished candidates for the MVP Award. After nominations, accredited journalists covering the Asian Games will vote for their choice for the MVP winner.
This year's MVP will receive a trophy along with a Samsung LCD TV and a $50,000 USD check to be awarded to their respective NOC to be used toward future support/ training of athletes.
