With over 12 years' experience in the UK supplying the lighting needs of such clients as Aston Martin Showrooms and McDonalds Restaurants, Johnston Lighting & Accessories recently expanded into the Middle East opening a regional office in Dubai in 2005.

As nominated lighting and maintenance products supplier to numerous major commercial and industrial sectors throughout the Middle East including hotels, hospitals, golf courses, banks, shopping malls and private developments, Johnston Lighting & Accessories offers a diverse range of services and products, including commercial lighting supplies, decorative light fittings and lighting components.

Offering a 'concept to completion' package with respect to clients' lighting requirements, Johnston Lighting & Accessories works closely with architects in the initial stages of a projects development right through to maintaining stocks and supplying the bulbs on a daily basis!

Introducing a unique concept to the Middle East to ensure error-free ordering of supplies, Managing Director Mrs Marie Johnston explains:

'We first introduced the concept of error-free ordering to McDonalds Restaurants in the UK, where a number of employees in each outlet needed access to purchasing information. Upon signing an annual agreement to supply the lighting requirements of all McDonalds Restaurants, we then developed a handbook for each outlet itemising every individual light fitting and bulb supplied by Johnston Lighting & Accessories.

This handbook contained a picture, reference number, description and location of every lighting component, enabling even the most inexperienced staff member to correctly identify the 'light over the 3rd oven' (for example), place an order and receive the correct replacement by the very next day.'

Mrs Johnston continued: 'In such a diverse multilingual environment as Dubai, our clients have found this to be an invaluable tool. Not only does it save them time, but it also ensures cost effectiveness as mistakes in ordering and supply are rarely encountered. This is a free tool we provide to our contracted clients and one that has been extremely well received.'
