"Such ventures could be focused on applying Estarta's pattern recognition and wireless communication technologies to create transportation systems, as well as a focus on the Middle East market for Strukton," states Hatem Zeine, CEO of Estarta.

"Our partnership with Estarta during the past year has established our confidence in technical outsourcing and offshore development," said Sjoerd Jansen, CEO Strukton Systems, a division of Strukton Rail Infra, "Estarta's technical expertise and offshore development model has provided us with the capability of maintaining our core applications, by having a knowledgeable core team, and the flexibility to further expand that team when the market need demands it."

Strukton Group, one of the top 10 construction firms in the Netherlands, occupies a prominent position in concrete construction and hydraulic engineering, rail infrastructure, utility construction and building & maintenance, internationally. Strukton Systems, a Division of Strukton Rail Infra, provides technology solutions to the group and therefore enhances the competitiveness of the company's core offerings. Strukton was introduced to Jordan and Estarta through it's special research partnership with the Delft University of Technology, one of the top 5 technology universities in Europe. Both Strukton and Estarta are also working closely with Delft University of Technology in joint advanced technology research.

Estarta Solutions is a 200 person global IT Solutions company with offices in Amman, Boston, and Doha. Estarta is partially owned by Microsoft Corporation, and focuses on IT Consulting, IT Implementation, and Software Product Engineering services supported by proprietary pattern recognition and wireless communication platforms. Estarta helps leading organizations and technology companies in the US, Europe, and the Middle East succeed through advanced information technology solutions.

In 2001, Strukton Systems and Estarta embarked on a collaborative partnership to build and extend several Strukton products to rapidly meet time to market requirements using advanced technologies. Estarta assigned to Strukton a flexible core team focused on advanced software development for Strukton. One of the products that resulted from the relationship is the Dynamic Passenger Information System, which allows rail travelers to access up to date train schedules through the Internet and mobile devices leveraging WAP, SMS, and XML technologies. This product was received very positively when deployed in Holland. Estarta's distributed development model was used to define and establish the high level design for the system in the Netherlands interactively with Strukton's team. The detailed design and development were carried out at Estarta's Amman development center. Estarta's team then traveled to the Netherlands to deploy and launch the system. The system was also built to enable the internationalization of the application, so that clients can now browse the system by viewing it in any European language. Each of the products that Estarta extended for Strukton involved a similar collaborative process. "This relationship has been both a personal and professional success, we are excited about the tangible market results that Strukton is seeing as a result of our partnership," Majied Qasem, Senior Vice President of Services at Estarta.

As a result of this partnership Strukton has responded to it's market needs faster than it's competition. Additionally, both companies are able to jointly pursue a broader range of clients together. Ennis Rimawi, Chairman of Estarta states, "This weeks discussions in Amman will focus on taking the partnership to the next level."
