    The new Walkman® NW-S700F series.
The new Walkman® NW-S700F is equipped with Sony's original clear audio technology that combines noise-canceling function, clear stereo and clear bass technologies with the bundled professional grade 13.5ö EX headphones to boast clearer sound quality even in a noisy environment. This colour-display music player allows the listener to avoid having to increase the volume to block out surrounding noises, ensuring hours of music enjoyment with no distractions.

"Being the pioneer in excellent sound quality, Sony remains true to its roots by introducing the new Walkman® NW-S700F series for audiophiles who take high quality music seriously. Combining clear audio technology with high stamina performance, quick charge feature and distinctive design, the Walkman® NW-S700F symbolises the Walkman® brand with its exceptional quality,"

said Mr. Takakiyo Fujita, Senior Manager of Personal Audio Division, Sony Gulf FZE.

Clear Audio Technology

The noise canceling technology works in three steps with discreet microphones built into the 13.5öEX headphones to capture surrounding ambient noise, which will be analysed by the integrated noise canceling circuitry. This circuitry produces an inverse sound wave that is mixed into the music to cancel out the ambient noise, allowing listeners to enjoy their music without distraction. The NW-S700F series also utilizes clear stereo technology to prevent the audio signal leaking from one channel to another and it features clear bass technology that enhances base without any distortion. These features are further enhanced by the addition of a 5-band equalizer system and "virtual phone technology", a process that converts playback music to include 3D sound. This reproduction can create an acoustic effect of a studio, live-house, club space or arena that brings the listener closer to the original recording.

Record music without a computer

For quick and convenient recording of music, the direct encoding function enables the Walkman® to record analogue music from a source such as a CD player without a computer. By connecting the player to the source with an optional cable or cradle, it can record and store the music in ATRAC or Linear PCM format.

Colourful display with a classy look

Crafted with the classy look in mind, the Walkman® NW-S700F series shines as a unique music player from Sony. The new colour OEL display achieves brilliant top emission lighting without emitting any back-light to create a floating feel of the 3-line text display and beautiful cover art.

Quick charge, incredible stamina and Multi-codec playback

With only 3 minutes of charging, the Walkman® NW-S700F series possesses high stamina performance playing up to 3 hours of non-stop music and up to 50 hours with 2 hours of full charge. The Walkman® NW-S700F series also plays a wide variety of music codec including ATRAC, MP3, WMA (non-DRM), AAC (non-DRM), ATRAC Advanced Lossless and Linear PCM. It also provides an alternative music feature with its built-in tuner. Working best with the latest SonicStage™ CP software, it allows users to manage album art and playlists.

The colourful Walkman® NW-S700F series will be available at all Jumbo showrooms and other select electronics' outlets across the UAE from November 2006 in 3 memory capacities. The 1GB NW-S703F is available in gold and black, the 2GB NW-S705F in violet and black and the 4GB NW-S706F in black.
