With some of the best prices around, 65 percent of the breaks across Etihad's network have been booked including winter sun destinations like Sri Lanka and European favourites, Paris and London.

"This year bookings for Etihad Holidays during the festive season have been extremely popular with Christmas, New Year and Eid taking place around the same time," said Nick Wood, General Manager, Etihad Holidays.

"We have a wealth of holidays for all tastes, whether our Guests are looking for a special European Christmas break or a chance to spend Eid in warmer climes with family and friends."

One of Etihad Holidays' most popular destinations is Sri Lanka, which only takes four hours by plane from Abu Dhabi, with Guests being able to fly daily with Etihad Airways to Colombo.

Since launching its six flights-per-week service to Paris in May 2006, there has been considerable demand from leisure travellers wishing to visit the capital of romance.

Therefore it is no surprise that Etihad Holidays' Guests have been quick to book festive deals to the French capital where they can enjoy the city's cultural treasures including the world-famous Eiffel Tower.

For Guests who do not require accommodation, such as expatriates returning home to the UK, Etihad Holidays' fly-drive deals are also proving increasingly popular.

"The fly-drive is perfect for many families and individuals because it offers total flexibility and value-for-money. When returning home for the holiday season, our Guests often want to move around and visit relatives in different parts of the country, so it makes sense to purchase their flights and transport in one go,"

continued Wood.

Another first for Etihad Holidays for this festive season is Morocco, a land of contrasts and variety which offers traditional Moorish architecture, bustling souks and snow-capped Atlas Mountains all with the North African - Arabian feel.

Guests can fly four times-a-week to Casablanca from Abu Dhabi, and when taking an Etihad Holiday they can stay at the Idou Anfou Hotel which is only a short walk from the ancient medina and corniche.
