Xerox sponsors the first ever U.A.E Print Awards

Xerox will associate with the award, jointly organized by the Printing and Publishing Group (PPG) and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) as Bronze sponsors for the event.

The printing industry has been undergoing major shifts in technology in tandem with changing customer needs and all of these changes are placing demands which printers are facing everyday. Through all this, printers have to ensure the highest quality of work and quick turn-around. In addition, with the world of business becoming increasingly smaller, it is of utmost importance that work produced anywhere in the world meets global standards. The U.A.E Print Awards will recognize the efforts of printers in ensuring that customers' needs as well as the highest of global quality standards are met.

Digital solutions are now being widely recognized as a significant value-add to a traditional printing operation. Whether it be for immediate turnaround, short-run capability, print-to-print consistency or personalized communications, offset printing operations adopting digital technology have found it adding significant benefit to their existing business.

Outstanding entries from 2005 and 2006 from the UAE's printing sector will be awarded for their excellence in terms of printing and finishing quality, innovation and creativity. The categories that would be recognized as part of the event include Magazines, Books, Directories, Annual Reports, Brochures & Catalogues, Flyers, POS Material & Posters, Greeting Cards, Calendars, Boxes & Trays, Newspapers, and the Best Innovation. Independent judges from the UAE market and from Europe will guarantee that simply the best available print products will be awarded. The evaluation of the products of each category will be based on certain criteria such as the print quality, finishing quality, job complexity and job creativity.
