Women Expo showcases financial services

Women Expo 2006, which is ongoing until December 15 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, showcases not only beauty products, jewellery and the latest fashion but also a range of financial services and investment opportunities for women.
The Zeinah Woman's Card is accepted at millions of establishments worldwide, and it gives cardholders the benefit of interest-free credit for up to 52 days. In addition, it comes with free travel insurance and the card can be used to withdraw cash instantly at ATMs across the globe. Bank Muscat donates 0.5% of the amount spent using the card to the National Association for Cancer Awareness (NACA), which also has a stall at the exhibition.
Another exhibitor at Women Expo 2006 is the Saudi British Property Investments Company, which is offering a revolutionary, new way of investing called Simply Invest. This hassle-free investment opportunity through strategic land within the UK promises potential returns on investment of at least 15% annually and up to 800% in five years. With Simply Invest, investors can enjoy remarkable capital growth without the concerns associated with traditional investments.
Al Madina Financial & Investment Services Co. (SAOC) is also participating at Women Expo 2006 to promote its innovative brokerage service that exclusively targets women. Open for women of all nationalities, the Al Madina Brokerage Services for Women offers a fully equipped brokerage cell and is managed only by female investment professionals. This ensures that female investors directly interact with someone who understands them better and helps them meet their financial objectives.
"The participation of financial companies in Women Expo 2006 is in line with our objectives to provide women with everything they need during the six-day exhibition," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition organising company in the sultanate.
Paul pointed out that Women Expo 2006 features over 65 local and international companies dealing in various types of products and services for women. In addition to cosmetics, perfumes and women's apparel, the exhibition also highlights educational opportunities and health services for women as well as products for proper child care and development. Except on Friday, when the exhibition will be closed in the morning, the timings are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Women Expo 2006 is for ladies and families only. All women visitors have a chance to win exciting raffle prizes including air tickets for a family of four, non-stick cookware, a sewing machine, and dinner sets. Various types of entertaining and educational activities are also being held on all days of the event. For Wednesday, December 13, the scheduled activities include vegetable carving demonstrations, tile painting, beauty product demonstrations, a wedding pageant, musical performances, and garden concepts demonstrations.
Women Expo 2006 is supported by the Muscat Private Hospital as the co-sponsor, and it is officially endorsed by NACA, the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Omani Society of Fine Arts (OSFA), the Oman Women Association at Seeb, the Omani Women's Association -Muscat, and the Omani Women Sports Development Committee. Sadaf serves as the official decorator, and Al Sawadi Beach Resort is the cooking demo sponsor. Al Mar'a is the official magazine of the event, and the media partners include Usrat Al Youm Magazine and Kul Al Usra Magazine.
