Major Eid Mohammed Thani Hareb, the official for security and safety in the Global Village observes, "The Committee for Safety, Security and Health has held detailed meetings to discuss issues concerning safety of visitors to the Global Village. A total of 155 trained people will be in charge of the safety of visitors coming in large numbers to the Global Village. Much of these staff will also be at hand to tackle emergencies or accidents if any."

The professional manner in which the highest safety standards will be met at the Global Village is a reflection of the modern image of Dubai that has always believed in global best practices.

Sultan Taher, the Head of Food Safety Division in the Dubai Municipality and Chief of the Food Safety unit in the Global Village confirms that all precautions have been taken to ensure that the food being served at the Village is completely safe and certified for consumption.

"The restaurants certified to be a part of the food court have been selected after great scrutiny and only after we were convinced that they will adhere to the highest food safety standards we gave them permission to operate there. The food and allied items will be checked on a daily basis and the checking will begin right at the entry point - at the gate reserved for their movement, and all the way up to the display and service counter. The 24 restaurants and 200 kiosks that are allowed to sell corn, fruits and similar such items at the Global Village will go through the same stringent checks. For enabling us to do our job well, we thank the office of the Global Village for their co-operation with the food safety department," informs Sultan Taher.

Hamza Abbas, Head of the Health and Safety Committee in the Global Village says, "We have established two clinics for serving the visitors. A highly qualified team of 50 doctors and 30 nurses will be on duty; there will be five ambulances parked in the Global Village in addition to the mini Volvo cars and five motorbikes in a state of complete readiness to reach the accident or emergency spot with no further time delay. The cars will be manned by two nurses and two First Aid workers in each vehicle, such that help when needed is readily available," he said adding, "The Medical Group in the previous years has provided medical services to all the visitors especially the children and the team was very efficient in treating all the minor injuries."

The Civil Defence is always present at the Global Village to ensure the safety of all the visitors. Lt Ismail Abdullah Ahmed from the Civil Defence department stated that all the groups that has been assigned by the Civil Defence will be stationed in various locations of the Global Village concentrating on two main areas of facility which is besides the management office and the second is alongside the restaurants in the food court area. Six fully-equipped fire-fighting cars will be ready in the area. He added that the Civil Defence department has coordinated with the Global Village management on the location plan to check the safety requirements.
