Arab Broadcast Forum (ABF) April 2007 Abu Dhabi
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, December 16 - 2006 at 10:06
- PRESS RELEASE
The Arab Broadcast Forum (ABF) will again examine the issues facing the broadcast news world.
In November, leading executives from some of the top Arab and global broadcasters met at the ABF's Editorial Board meeting in Istanbul and we are now drafting an agenda that is exciting and relevant for the region and beyond.
Last year's inaugural ABF attracted nearly 275 members of the global broadcast fraternity and we expect AN even wider participation this year. Our session contributors will include top journalists, newsmakers and politicians from the around the world. In addition to the speakers at the venue, we will also bring in relevant contributors via satellite from around the world to further enrich and balance the debate. Sessions will be produced both by Arab Broadcasters as well as ABF's in-house producers, considered by some as the best conference producers anywhere in the world. Once again, Abu Dhabi TV, our host broadcaster, and Al Arabiya will provide technical and editorial support as main co-sponsors of the event.
Registration will open in January and more information will be available shortly. The Arab Broadcast Forum, a not-for-profit event, relies on delegate fees and sponsorship to ensure the highest quality event for our attendees.
The Arab Broadcast Forum will again take place in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi TV again plans to broadcast the entire event live on its main satellite channel and Al Arabiya will also air certain sessions live. Portions of the 2006 event were broadcast live on Al-Arabiya and Abu Dhabi TV aired the entire event, attracting millions of viewers and widespread praise.
This year's venue will be the newly refurbished Intercontinental Hotel, one of the best properties in that chain. In addition to brand new rooms, the hotel boasts one of the nicest beaches in Abu Dhabi as well as award-winning restaurants. The exclusive conference facility will also help us produce another quality show.
