DMCC COO Ahmed bin Sulayem participates in G8 anti-terrorism initiative

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), recently participated in a G8 anti-terrorism initiative in Moscow, Russia.

He was invited to attend the forum as a member of the World Diamond Council (WDC).

The initiative, 'Global Forum for partnerships between governments and business to counter terrorism,' is aimed at preventing financing of terrorism, through elaborating and implementing more effective measures to suppress diamond and precious metal smuggling. Several proposals were discussed at the event including public-private sector partnerships to combat terrorism.

Global Forum seeks to encourage and develop worldwide cooperation to ensure the stability and security of economies and societies around the world. It promotes active discussion and enables the development and distribution of best practices in the field of anti-terrorist cooperation between public authorities and private sector.
