- PRESS RELEASE
Sharjah Tatweer Forum (Tatweer) announced recently the launch of its Private Public Partnership Programme in Sharjah.
Through the launch of this programme, Tatweer is keen on promoting what Sharjah has to offer in terms of commerce, industry, tourism, culture and education; establish better communication channels between public and private organisations and create an attractive working environment to attract regional and international investors.
Hussain Al-Mahmoudi, Chairman of Sharjah Tatweer Forum said, "Our Private Public Partnership Programme is an ambitious initiative towards fulfilling the vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and honorary president of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum (Tatweer). Participating organisations will have the opportunity to improve their overall performance through competency development and capacity building of the human capital and the enhancement of internal communications. The programme includes several sessions which provide an effective networking environment for participants to share best practices and experiences that support the competitive advantages of organisations."
"The Private Public Partnership Programme includes sessions such as the "Council of Excellence" which highlights issues surrounding personal effectiveness, the "Work Exchange" session where members of the public sector will team up and spend a day with a private sector counterpart and vice versa. This will be followed by the "Work Exchange De-brief" session where participants are briefed on key learning points from their work exchanges," added Al-Mahmoudi.
Participants will also be provided with an opportunity to network on a social level with their families through their attendance of the F1 Boat race in Sharjah. The programme also aims to promote the culture and heritage of Sharjah and explain how they are integral in the development process of leaders. The programme also includes a session titled, "Sharjah Photo Hunt" which promises a refreshing, stimulating and fascinating exercise in team work and creativity.
Participants will also spend a day reviewing the previous six months, addressing questions such as "What have they got out of it personally?" and "What has been the gain for the industrial sector?" They will also plan how they will put their experiences into practice to create a greater understanding and build a working relationship between the public and private sector and develop a road map for events of the following twelve months to build on this foundation.
Formed under a decree issued by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, the Forum works towards developing the skills and competencies of National youth in Sharjah, building partnerships between the private and public sectors, encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation and excellence in business and administration and ensuring the emirate's overall progress.
