Oracle welcomes Middle Eastern partners to final Oracle Partner Network (OPN) day of 2006
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, December 16 - 2006 at 16:28
- PRESS RELEASE
Oracle partners from across the Middle East were in Dubai last week for Oracle's sixth EMEA OPN Day of 2006.
The Dubai OPN Day is the last in a series of 2006 events hosted in France, Turkey, Italy, Germany and the UK. Attendees received information and training on how to take advantage of Oracle's resources, tools and services, and how to market and sell in partnership with Oracle. The event was also an opportunity for partners to expand their industry networks by mixing with the wider Oracle Partner Community.
More than 5,000 partners throughout EMEA participated in last year's OPN Days, and Oracle expects over 6,000 to attend this year. The events include sessions on how to get the most out of OPN Membership, the Oracle Fusion Middleware opportunity for ISVs, how to create demand in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) market and Oracle's Roadmap to Oracle Fusion Applications.
"We are focused on providing our EMEA partners with the best products and solutions available for SMBs, as well as all the support they need to maximise their opportunities in this fast growing market," said Stein Surlien, Vice President, Alliances and Channels, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa. "At our OPN Days, our partners can speak to experts, learn about our latest products, and get access to our support services to help make them more successful - all in one venue."
"The OPN Days really demonstrate Oracle's commitment to its channel partners," said Jalal Abdulkader, CEO of I-Soft "They provide us with a valuable insight into the vast array of training and support Oracle offers over and above its world-class products and solutions."
The EMEA-wide OPN Day sponsors include HP, IBM, Fujitsu-Siemens, Sun Microsystems and AMD (Advanced Micro Devices).
