Malaysian Airport and Duty Free team visit Dubai International Airport

An eight-member team of representatives from the Association of Duty Free Operators, Malaysia and Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd visited Dubai International Airport last week to obtain an insider's view of the Dubai Duty Free operation.
Currently ranked No. 6 in the world in terms of turnover, Dubai Duty Free is well on track to achieve record sales of Dhs1 billion (US$280 million) in 2002. Widely regarding as an innovator within the industry, the operation is the current holder of Frontier's 'Airport Retailer of the Year' award.
Commenting on the significance of the visit, Mr. George Horan said: "We are delighted and honored by the visit of such a high profile delegation. It reflects the high esteem in which the Dubai Duty Free operation is held within the aviation industry. We were delighted to share with them our experiences and best practices."
