DM to equip higher and middle management with innovation tools

Dubai Municipality will organize a three-day training workshop for its higher and middle management this week to equip them with innovation techniques.
Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the course will be held from 18 to 20 December.
He said the course "Seven Innovation Tools," will teach the participants to apply innovation techniques and skills for innovation and to improve work processes, solve daily problems at organizational, department, family and personal level and lead 'Quick & Effective Decision Making' to meet the current business challenges and requirements.
Al Zarouni said the second training course of the week called, "Modern methods in planning, implementation and follow up," will also be held from 18 to 20 December. The course would be attended by a group of administrative support officials and administrative officers in the Municipality.
He said the course is aimed at providing the participants a basic idea about planning and follow up in order to enhance their skills in formulating objectives and preparing plans and programmes.
Al Zarouni said a third course of the week called "Skills and methods of effective negotiation," to be organized during 19-21 December, would be attended by a group of administrative officers in the Municipality.
He said the participants would be familiarized with the nature of negotiation process and the planning needed for it, in addition to the basics of the process of negotiations and its application in order to enable the participants to chart out the appropriate strategies of negotiation. The participants will also be given training to acquire the ability to carry out the task of effective negotiations.
