Abdullatif Al Mulla wins award for outstanding contribution to technology

Abdullatif Al Mulla, CEO of TECOM Investments has won the IT Weekly Middle East Arab Technology Award for Outstanding Contribution to Information and Communications Technology.
Following the announcement of the Award, Al Mulla said: "I am both honoured and humbled by this recognition. The award increases my responsibility to work for the development of the region's information and communications technology (ICT) industry. At TECOM, we have achieved much in stimulating and supporting ICT growth, but more needs to be done to make our industry a global force. I look forward to working with other industry leaders to drive ICT development in our region," he added.
The IT Weekly Award is the latest among several distinguished awards Al Mulla has won. In 1998, he won the Microsoft High Distinguished President Award. He was also a member of the Microsoft Middle East and Africa Leadership Programme.
Abdullatif Al Mulla has been CEO of TECOM Investments - a subsidiary of Dubai Holding that develops and manages knowledge-industry clusters - since June 2005.
As CEO, he provides strategic direction to TECOM Investments and its entities and drives new initiatives aimed at developing the region's knowledge-based industries.
