Discovery Science, the only network devoted to the wonders of science, including in-depth coverage of current science news, will also join the Orbit line-up in early January 2007. The introduction of Discovery Channel and Discovery Science to Orbit brings the total number of Discovery Networks available on Orbit to three; Animal Planet, a joint venture network between Discovery and BBC Worldwide which reflects mankind's eternal fascination with the creatures that share our world, has been available on the platform since January 2002.
"The addition of both Discovery Channel and Discovery Science will enhance our already strong and comprehensive cultural and information channels line-up," said Mr. Ali Ajouz, Orbit's vice president for Marketing and Distribution.

We provide a whole spectrum of programming choices that cater to a diverse range of audiences. We are also constantly on the look out for ways to enhance our programming to adapt to the changing preferences and viewing habits of our audiences,"
added Mr. Ajouz.

"Discovery is committed to further developing its business in the Middle East and our agreement with Orbit demonstrates our intention to expand the reach of Discovery's networks within this important region."
Discovery Channel, Discovery Science and Animal Planet are programmed 24 hours a day in English and are also subtitled in Arabic on the Orbit platform.
