Local developer Al Sharq Investment has appointed W Hotels to operate the $180m W Dubai-The Palm hotel on Palm Jumeirah. Located on the island's crescent, the hotel will have 400 beach-front rooms. Meanwhile, Al Sharq is releasing 200 freehold residences on the island adjacent to the hotel.
