Heidrick & Struggles to establish Middle East presence

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, December 19 - 2006 at 10:00
  • PRESS RELEASE

One of the leading executive search and leadership consulting firms Heidrick & Struggles opened its office in Dubai to serve as the regional headquarters for the firm's Middle East practice.

"Dubai has emerged as the business, trade, financial and professional service hub of the Middle East. It is providing a natural, strategic base for Heidrick & Struggles' regional operations" said Ayman Haddad, Managing Partner of Heidrick & Struggles.

Experts underline that the region faces a critical shortage of experienced, highly skilled managers. The numbers are astounding and the regions' leading local and international companies are experiencing difficulties in filling their top management positions.

Ayman Haddad added,

"Following the regional government's continuous reforms and hiking oil prices, economical growth in the GCC is advancing at an unprecedented pace yet the so-called "talent gap" is growing day by day. Heidrick & Struggles consultants have witnessed the dramatic economic turnaround in the region over the last years through executive search and consulting assignments undertaken via its European offices. "We have chosen to be physically located in Dubai as it is strategically important to many of our global and local clients,"

Mr Haddad concluded.

Studies regularly show that CEOs and other top executives are deeply concerned about the strength of their current leadership teams and whether they have the pipeline of talent necessary for long-term business success. Rapid shifts in company strategies and people requirements: transformational mergers and acquisitions, numerous strategic hires, changes in how executives view and manage their careers, and the increasing speed of business competition require a more holistic approach to the way companies manage talent.

Heidrick & Struggles has specialized in chief executive, board member and senior-level management search assignments for a wide variety of clients. The firm will also offer client integrated human capital solutions that drive required organizational change, enhance leadership teams, develop top talent and improve business performance.
