The presence of the Chevrolet Captiva compact SUV and new generations of the Chevrolet Epica, Lumina, Caprice and Tahoe at the Show marks one of the most eagerly anticipated automotive reveals this year. The move comes at a time of long-term sustained growth for the Chevrolet brand across the Middle East.
The Abu Dhabi motor show will reveal for the first time ever to the public the all-new 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, Colorado and Silverado. This will expand on the models offered by Chevrolet for 2007, providing a vehicle to suit every customer in the UAE.
For 2007, the GMC line-up presents a new generation of the all-new Yukon family, including Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali. The Yukon family features bold styling, refined comfort, improved efficiency and a 360-degree system of safety measures - including government-awarded 5-Star frontal crash ratings for both the driver and right front passenger.

Chevrolet Silverado will make its first appearance in the region at the Abu Dhabi Motor Show. The Silverado is known for offering one of the broadest model ranges in the industry, with a diverse array of body styles and powertrains that combine to create the vehicles that meet every full-size pickup customer's needs, whether professional or personal. The 2007 Silverado Classic 1500, 1500HD and 2500HD models carry the distinctive front-end appearance that was introduced in '06. It features a bold grille design and power dome hood. The VortecMAX performance package with enhanced Heavy Duty towing is designed to increase the towing capability of 4WD models of the Silverado Classic 1500 extended cab/standard-length box and Silverado Classic 1500 Crew Cab. The package includes a high-output Vortec 6.0L engine rated at 345 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque, 17-inch wheels, a heavy-duty trailering package, 9.5-inch rear axle, automatic locking differential, VortecMAX door badging and engine cover.GMC Envoy and Envoy Denali
The 2007 GMC Envoy and Envoy Denali continue to offer comfort, capability and refinement in the midsize SUV segment. Refinements to the lineup include a stylish, new 17- inch high-polished forged aluminum wheel available on Envoy SLE and SLT models, as well as three all-new colours: Silvermist Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Graphite Metallic. A tyre pressure monitoring system is standard on all 2007 Envoy models.Envoy and Envoy Denali are offered in a roomy, midsize package that rides on a 2,869 mm wheelbase; the extended-length models are discontinued. The robust Vortec 4.2 litre six-cylinder is standard in Envoy models, while the powerful Vortec 5.3 litre V8 is standard with Envoy Denali. The 5.3 litre is equipped with GM's fuel-saving Active Fuel Management technology, while regulated voltage control is added to both engines for 2007, also enhancing fuel economy. A four-speed, electronically controlled automatic transmission is standard on all models. StabiliTrak electronic stability control system is also standard on all models.
Envoy and Envoy Denali offer a myriad of entertainment choices. In addition to the AM/FM stereo and CD players, owners may also opt for an MP3 player, a Bose premium sound system, touch screen navigation or a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
Envoy Denali takes GMC's midsize SUV platform to the pinnacle of comfort and style, with specific design cues, including the iconic honeycomb grille, unique front and rear fascias, specific moldings, assist steps and standard 18 inch wheels. A host of interior amenities distinguish Envoy Denali, too, including real wood trim on the steering wheel.
GMC Yukon and Yukon Denali
GMC's professional grade vehicles have reached new levels of refinement and performance with the introduction of the 2007 Yukon and Yukon Denali full-size SUVs. The pair form part of General Motors' all-new full-size SUV family, which features distinctive styling, spacious, refined interiors, exceptional driving characteristics and enhanced safety features.The 2007 Yukon is distinguished by sleek, expressive styling that heralds a new look for the GMC range, with designs that convey the brand's professional grade qualities as well as its distinct identity within the GM family. The new Yukon SUVs offer more power and better fuel economy than previous generation models, remaining true to GMC's reputation for offering 'more than expected'.
Yukon is available in SLE (cloth trim) and SLT trim (leather appointments), as well as 2WD and 4WD configurations. A new Gen IV small-block V8 family powers the Yukon family and offers more power than comparable powertrains in previous models. A 5.3-litre small-block V8 is standard at start of production in Yukon and is rated at 355 gross horsepower and 504 Nm of gross torque, an 8-percent horsepower increase compared to the previous 5.3-litre engine.
Yukon Denali is a distinct AWD model, with features that elevate its style and its performance to unprecedented levels - the latter thanks to an exclusive 6.2-litre all-aluminium small-block V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a new six-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2-litre engine of the Yukon Denali is all-new, with advanced technologies and lightweight materials contributing to the vehicle's uncompromising performance. It produces 441 gross horsepower and 615 Nm of gross torque.
2007 GMC Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali
Also new for 2007 are the all-new Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali featuring unique styling and features - including a 6.2-litre V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that delivers the most horsepower in its class and a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission.The Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali models deliver outstanding power and fuel economy than their predecessor, enhancing GMC's 'more than expected' reputation. The vehicles are based on GM's all-new full-size SUV architecture, which features distinctive styling, spacious and refined interiors, exceptional driving characteristics and enhanced safety features. They complement the recently introduced 2007 Yukon and Yukon Denali models to round out GMC's full-size SUV line-up - offering the broadest and most capable line-up of SUVs in GMC's more than 100 years of building trucks.
