The Chevrolet car line-up now stretches from the Spark in the mini car segment, which can be owned for as little as 15 DHS per day - less than it costs to take a taxi to work and back, through the legendary new Chevrolet Caprice, which is possibly the 'oldest' car in the Middle East, right up to the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which is the fastest, most powerful production car ever offered by General Motors.

The presence of the Chevrolet Captiva compact SUV and new generations of the Chevrolet Epica, Lumina, Caprice and Tahoe at the Show marks one of the most eagerly anticipated automotive reveals this year. The move comes at a time of long-term sustained growth for the Chevrolet brand across the Middle East.

The Abu Dhabi motor show will reveal for the first time ever to the public the all-new 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, Colorado and Silverado. This will expand on the models offered by Chevrolet for 2007, providing a vehicle to suit every customer in the UAE.

For 2007, the GMC line-up presents a new generation of the all-new Yukon family, including Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali. The Yukon family features bold styling, refined comfort, improved efficiency and a 360-degree system of safety measures - including government-awarded 5-Star frontal crash ratings for both the driver and right front passenger.

Chevrolet Spark

Although one of the smaller members of Chevrolet's comprehensive small car range, the 2007 Spark brings with it all the reliability, performance and value-for-money that are the hallmarks of the Chevrolet line-up. Like the first generation Spark, the 2007 model immediately attracts attention through its modern design, clever space utlisation, favourable price and solid engineering. It is the perfect choice for younger, first-time owners looking for the greater freedom and fun that having your own car allows.

Chevrolet Aveo

The All-New 2007 Chevrolet Aveo is a totally new car featuring a more dynamic look and attractive interior. Chevrolet Optra

Under the hood of the Optra has the choice of two modern 4-cylinder engines. The 1.6 litre in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine, delivers 107 horsepower at 5800 rpm and 147Nm of torque at 4000 rpm while the 1.8 litre Euro II DOHC MPI engine delivers 119 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 161Nm torque at 4000 rpm. Both engines are complimented by a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed automatic.

Chevrolet Epica

Chevrolet Caprice

The all-new 2007 Chevrolet Caprice takes exterior and interior design to new heights, delivering one of the most distinctive modern vehicles to travel the roads of the Middle East. At a first glance, it is clear that the new 2007 Caprice makes a statement with its combination of balanced proportions, dynamic form and creative styling elements. The new generation is available in a number of models, all of which offer an outstanding combination of options and features to suit customer requirements. Powered by standard 6.0 litre V8 engines, the Caprice LS, LTZ, SS and Royale deliver a peak power of 360hp (net) at 5700rpm and peak torque of 520Nm. Both the LS and LTZ models are also available with the 3.6 litre V6 engine, delivering a peak power of 240hp (net) at 6000rpm and peak torque of 335 Nm. All four models are mated with a four speed automatic transmission.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever built. It is also the fastest, most powerful production car ever offered by General Motors, making it one of the best performance values on the market - better than many of today's 'super-cars'. The Z06's LS7 7.0 litre engine delivers 505 horsepower in a 1,421 kg package - a combination that delivers 0-100 km/h performance of 3.7 seconds in first gear, quarter-mile times of 11.7 seconds at 200 km/h and a top speed of 317 km/h. It also provides maximum lateral acceleration of 1.04 g and 100-0km/h braking in 33.4 meters. Along with astounding performance, Corvette Z06 also returns surprising fuel economy of 41 kpg on the highway.

Chevrolet Uplander

A crossover sport van for those who want it all, the Chevrolet Uplander delivers the bold styling of an SUV, the passenger room and interior versatility of a van, and the smooth ride of a sedan.

For 2007, the Uplander is upgraded with the GM 3.9 litre V6 with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) as standard on all models. This powerful and refined V6 delivers 240 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. The 2007 Chevrolet Uplander can seat up to seven passengers along with offering numerous cargo configurations. Its line up continues in 2007 with front-wheel drive passenger models available in Base, LS and LT trim.

Chevrolet Captiva

One of the best value-for-money vehicles in the fast growing compact SUV segment , the all-new 2007 Chevrolet Captiva offers superior ride and handling qualities, providing customers with a great driving experience. It's clear from the outset that the versatile Captiva combines all the ruggedness of an SUV with the stylish lines and characteristics of a mid-size sedan. Chevrolet Tahoe

The 2007 Tahoe is built on GM's new full-size SUV platform, which incorporates features such as a new, fully boxed frame, coil-over-shock front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and an all-new, premium interior system that bolsters the vehicle's comfort, quality and capability. Wider front and rear tracks enhance handling for a more confident road feel. The 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe is available in three trim levels: LS, LT and LTZ. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models are available. All come well equipped with enhanced safety, comfort and convenience features.

Chevrolet Suburban

The all new 2007 Chevrolet Suburban is the latest generation of the industry's most versatile and capable full-size SUV. It is based on GM's new, full-size SUV architecture, featuring sleek exterior styling, a sharper, more precise driving feel, more power with improved, segment-leading fuel economy, increased interior refinement and improved quietness. Among its key features is a new 360-degree safety system of occupant protection and crash-avoidance technology. The 2007 Suburban is offered in LS, LT and LTZ variants, with 2WD and 4WD, in 1500 and heavy-duty 2500 series. Suburban 1500 models feature an efficient 5.3-litre V8 engine with Active Fuel Management™ displacement-on-demand fuel-saving technology. A 6.0-litre engine with Variable Valve Timing and an iron cylinder block is offered on 2500 models.

Chevrolet Avalanche

The 2007 Chevy Avalanche is the next generation of the industry's most flexible utility vehicle. It combines the passenger-comfort attributes of an SUV with the cargo capability of a truck. The 2007 Avalanche is available in LS, LT and LTZ models, with 2WD and 4WD. The standard powertrain includes an efficient 5.3L V-8 with Active Fuel Management technology that seamlessly switches from eight-cylinder to four-cylinder operation to save fuel.

Chevrolet Colorado

Colorado will offer one of the widest model ranges, including Regular Cab, Extended Cab or Crew Cab body styles; two pickup bed lengths; three available suspensions; and two inline engines. Vehicles are offered in WT, LS and LT trims. The Colorado will be fitted with two engine choices, a 2.9L DOHC four-cylinder with variable valve timing (VVT) rated at 185 horsepower and 258 Nm of torque and a 3.7L DOHC five-cylinder with VVT rated at 242 horsepower and 328 Nm of torque.

Chevrolet Silverado

Chevrolet Silverado will make its first appearance in the region at the Abu Dhabi Motor Show. The Silverado is known for offering one of the broadest model ranges in the industry, with a diverse array of body styles and powertrains that combine to create the vehicles that meet every full-size pickup customer's needs, whether professional or personal. The 2007 Silverado Classic 1500, 1500HD and 2500HD models carry the distinctive front-end appearance that was introduced in '06. It features a bold grille design and power dome hood. The VortecMAX performance package with enhanced Heavy Duty towing is designed to increase the towing capability of 4WD models of the Silverado Classic 1500 extended cab/standard-length box and Silverado Classic 1500 Crew Cab. The package includes a high-output Vortec 6.0L engine rated at 345 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque, 17-inch wheels, a heavy-duty trailering package, 9.5-inch rear axle, automatic locking differential, VortecMAX door badging and engine cover.

GMC Envoy and Envoy Denali

The 2007 GMC Envoy and Envoy Denali continue to offer comfort, capability and refinement in the midsize SUV segment. Refinements to the lineup include a stylish, new 17- inch high-polished forged aluminum wheel available on Envoy SLE and SLT models, as well as three all-new colours: Silvermist Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Graphite Metallic. A tyre pressure monitoring system is standard on all 2007 Envoy models.

Envoy and Envoy Denali are offered in a roomy, midsize package that rides on a 2,869 mm wheelbase; the extended-length models are discontinued. The robust Vortec 4.2 litre six-cylinder is standard in Envoy models, while the powerful Vortec 5.3 litre V8 is standard with Envoy Denali. The 5.3 litre is equipped with GM's fuel-saving Active Fuel Management technology, while regulated voltage control is added to both engines for 2007, also enhancing fuel economy. A four-speed, electronically controlled automatic transmission is standard on all models. StabiliTrak electronic stability control system is also standard on all models.

Envoy and Envoy Denali offer a myriad of entertainment choices. In addition to the AM/FM stereo and CD players, owners may also opt for an MP3 player, a Bose premium sound system, touch screen navigation or a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.

Envoy Denali takes GMC's midsize SUV platform to the pinnacle of comfort and style, with specific design cues, including the iconic honeycomb grille, unique front and rear fascias, specific moldings, assist steps and standard 18 inch wheels. A host of interior amenities distinguish Envoy Denali, too, including real wood trim on the steering wheel.

GMC Yukon and Yukon Denali

GMC's professional grade vehicles have reached new levels of refinement and performance with the introduction of the 2007 Yukon and Yukon Denali full-size SUVs. The pair form part of General Motors' all-new full-size SUV family, which features distinctive styling, spacious, refined interiors, exceptional driving characteristics and enhanced safety features.

The 2007 Yukon is distinguished by sleek, expressive styling that heralds a new look for the GMC range, with designs that convey the brand's professional grade qualities as well as its distinct identity within the GM family. The new Yukon SUVs offer more power and better fuel economy than previous generation models, remaining true to GMC's reputation for offering 'more than expected'.

Yukon is available in SLE (cloth trim) and SLT trim (leather appointments), as well as 2WD and 4WD configurations. A new Gen IV small-block V8 family powers the Yukon family and offers more power than comparable powertrains in previous models. A 5.3-litre small-block V8 is standard at start of production in Yukon and is rated at 355 gross horsepower and 504 Nm of gross torque, an 8-percent horsepower increase compared to the previous 5.3-litre engine.

Yukon Denali is a distinct AWD model, with features that elevate its style and its performance to unprecedented levels - the latter thanks to an exclusive 6.2-litre all-aluminium small-block V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and a new six-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2-litre engine of the Yukon Denali is all-new, with advanced technologies and lightweight materials contributing to the vehicle's uncompromising performance. It produces 441 gross horsepower and 615 Nm of gross torque.

2007 GMC Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali

Also new for 2007 are the all-new Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali featuring unique styling and features - including a 6.2-litre V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) that delivers the most horsepower in its class and a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission.

The Yukon XL and Yukon XL Denali models deliver outstanding power and fuel economy than their predecessor, enhancing GMC's 'more than expected' reputation. The vehicles are based on GM's all-new full-size SUV architecture, which features distinctive styling, spacious and refined interiors, exceptional driving characteristics and enhanced safety features. They complement the recently introduced 2007 Yukon and Yukon Denali models to round out GMC's full-size SUV line-up - offering the broadest and most capable line-up of SUVs in GMC's more than 100 years of building trucks.
