New appointment at NBAD

National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has appointed this month, December 2006, Abhijit Choudhury as its General Manager and Chief Risk Officer.

Choudhury has over 28 years of experience in banking of which the last 17 years have been with a highly reputable regional bank where he headed the Risk Management function.

At NBAD Choudhury will be responsible for supervision of the risk asset portfolio and all areas of risk arising from the present activities and future growth plans.

The bank is confident that this appointment will provide further impetus and enhance the risk management infrastructure framework to match both regional and international best practice standards and meet regulatory expectations.
