Lootah calls DM leaders to apply performance index standards

Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality called higher leadership in the civic body for simplifying procedures to enhance work movement.

He also asked the leadership to apply performance index standards to know the level of administrative development in different stages and also to follow up the extent of employees' competency.

Lootah was addressing a meeting of the Higher Leadership Team at the Municipality. The meeting sought ways to enhance and simplify the municipal services and strengthening the civic body's achievements. The meeting was also briefed on the training plan for 2007, which was approved.

Lootah stressed on the necessity of coming out of the routine methods of training courses and approving scientific courses that will help develop the capabilities and creativity of employees.

He also asked to conduct surveys to get remarks from the public on the performance of the employees, which will help analyze their work and organize courses that will help develop their skills.

The team exchanged a number of ideas in the discussions and stressed the need for continuing such methods every month. The Higher Leadership Team takes up the strategic transformation of the Municipality by linking the strategic objectives with an in-depth understanding of the mission and vision of the Municipality as well as developing them and coordinating the efforts of the leadership towards the aims aspired for.

The team also endeavours to apply the best professional administrative practices and conduct excellent total quality programmes, strives for constant enhancement of services, and identifies success factors and corporate performance standards, in addition to following the implementation.
