Saudi delegation reviews DQA model for 'King Abdulaziz Quality Award'

The Dubai Quality Award (DQA) Secretariat at the Department of Economic Development (DED) received a delegation from the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO), the apex body responsible for the 'King Abdulaziz Quality Award'.

The visiting guests, headed by Mr. Nabil Ameen Molla, Director General of the organization, reviewed the DQA Secretariat's experience in the field of quality and business excellence.

"We chose the Dubai Quality Award as a benchmark to learn from the best practices developed by this important initiative of its kind in the region. DQA's experience will help us in shaping the "King Abdulaziz Quality Award", said Mr. Nabil Molla.

"The Department of Economic Development strives to spread a quality-oriented work culture among different business sectors. The interest shown by the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization on Dubai Quality Award reinforces our commitment to spread our best practices in quality and service excellence for the benefit of our neighboring countries in the region,"


said Dr. Lway Nackasha, Adviser - Quality and Business Excellence, DED.

Dubai Quality Award Secretariat explained the various facets of the DQA model to the visiting delegation.

About Department of Economic Development (DED):

The Department of Economic Development (DED) was established in March 1992, with the objective to organise, regulate and boost trade and industry within the Emirate of Dubai. The DED has moulded its mission of building a futuristic establishment, in accordance with the vision of the Government of Dubai and in the light of globalisation and the requirements of a digital economy.
