An impressive centerpiece to any entertainment center, the BRAVIA X-Series delivers exceptional picture quality, in line with Sony's promise of High Definition Quality. The product is an outcome of Sony's continued commitment to LCD technology.

The 52 inch BRAVIA X Series is available at all Jumbo Electronics outlets across the UAE.

"Unlike most other TVs, the BRAVIA X-Series isn't just HD-Ready; it's Full HD capable. Instead of scaled images which have been digitally reduced to fit lower resolution panels, Full HD reproduces HD1080 picture exactly as it was transmitted. This is the key to a picture of the highest possible quality," said Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director, Sony Gulf.

"Moreover, the X-Series features an elegant floating glass design that is sure to inspire interior decorators to rethink the modern home," added Mr. Tamagawa.

The full HD function, 1080p is shorthand for the newest, highest standard of High Definition (HD) video performance. Specifically, it refers to the highest quality HD video resolution currently available in the consumer marketplace -1920 x 1080 progressive scan.

The BRAVIA ENGINE, within the X-Series, actually increases the resolution by a factor of up to four, doubling the number of vertical lines and horizontal pixels. The result is an unprecedented degree of detail and clarity which raises the television viewing experience to a completely new level.

The X-Series doesn't just deliver more detail; with the Live Colour Creation Function, it gives the viewer more colours too. Using decades of Trinitron know-how, Sony redesigned the panel backlight using improved light-emitting phosphors to boost the range of red and green in the spectrum. Precision-matched RGB filters in the screen make sure the increased colour range has the maximum impact on picture quality. The effect is, literally, to bring it to life, infusing the image with the complexity and depth of the real world.

Designed for maximum versatility, Sony's BRAVIA X-Series LCD TVs are equipped with a comprehensive range of input interfaces. The HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the first industry-supported, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface. HDMI technology supports enhanced or high-definition video, together with multi-channel digital audio to provide matchless image and sound reproduction. BRAVIA X-Series includes (3) HDMI 1080/60p inputs. The PC input (HD-15-pin) offers easy connection to your PC, allowing you to it as a computer monitor.

ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGIES
Full High Definition Technology (2 Mega pixel resolution - 1920 X 1080)
Full High Definition today means the display set must be capable of displaying at least a native resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The picture quality of the X-Series, with 1920 by 1080 resolution, is more than 4 times in comparison with the conventional flat panels which have 800 × 600 SVGA resolution. The resulting images on these televisions have exceptional brilliance, contrast and picture quality.

BRAVIA Engine Technology
BRAVIA Engine is Sony's unique full digital processor newly developed to enhance the visual quality to get better gradation, superb detail, enhanced contrast and improved colour. The BRAVIA Engine processor acts like a sophisticated digital studio, carrying out multiple real-time processing operations that dramatically improve the quality of the picture before it even reaches the screen.

The BRAVIA ENGINE produces vivid, high-contrast images by applying complex noise reduction techniques, enhancing low contrast images until they are crisp and realistic, and processing blues, greens and whites within each frame to generate the richness and colour accuracy that set BRAVIA TVs apart.

Sony Panel
The BRAVIA series uses the 7th Generation Sony LCD Panel for truly matchless image quality and performance. Specially created for BRAVIA at the S-LCD plant these panels are produced from the biggest mother glass to efficiently create large, high quality panels.
