- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, December 21 - 2006 at 14:38
- PRESS RELEASE
To celebrate the twelfth anniversary of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Cellucom, retailer of mobility products, announces its support sponsorship for the festival by kicking off a unique mega promotion.
"With DSF 2006/2007 hoping to be the biggest shopping extravaganza since its commencement, Cellucom is extremely proud to be associated with the celebrations of the festival. We see the upcoming DSF as a great opportunity to reach out to a larger group and beef up our customer base.
"The increased popularity of DSF can be attributed to the fact that it is not just a retail event but a complete package of shopping, leisure and entertainment. With the aim of bringing the residents and tourists of Dubai something unique, Cellucom hopes that its promotion strikes the right chord and looks forward to total participation from them," commented Arun Nagar, Managing Director, Cellucom.
The promotion kicked off on 20th December and will run up to February 2, 2007. Considering that Dubai has always been associated with gold, Cellucom decided to bring to its customers yet another opportunity to win the precious metal, albeit in a different shape - mobile phones
One of the biggest promotions ever in Cellucom's history, the well-crafted phones are made of 18-carat gold and are indeed an acquisition to cherish. They will be available across select models of Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola. In the 'Win gold phones worth Million dirhams' promotion, every time a shopper makes a purchase over a certain amount from any of Cellucom's outlets they will be entitled to enter into the draw by submission of the raffle coupon.
Four lucky shoppers will be announced at the end of every week during DSF who will walk away with one gold phone each. DSF visitors also have the additional convenience of buying Cellucom merchandise at Night Souq and Al Seef Road kiosks thereby increasing Cellucom's retail footprint during this period.
Besides, special offers and surprise gifts will be a regular feature during the DSF, with Cellucom offering the opportunity to win raffles across the portfolio of products ranging from Notebooks to mobiles to its complete range of mobility products.
The combined editions of DSF 2006-2007 will run from December 20, 2006 to February 2, 2007 and is slated to attract over 4 million visitors who are expected to spend up to Dh8 billion during the duration of the festival.
