The departments receiving the recognition and appreciation were the Sharjah Airport police and the staff at the airport's Pass Section. With the expansion plans well underway, security level at the airport has not been compromised despite the numerous task force employed to work on the project.

Airport's departments and in particular Airport Police are playing a vital role to speed the progress of the project, and employees at the Sharjah Airport Pass Section are always available on hand to issue passes, check references and ensure a smooth and efficient working procedure for all travelers, visitors, working companies and airport's users.

Due to the well-organized interdepartmental procedures and the competent teams forming the Airport Police and Pass Section, airport security was always been maintained meticulously. Members of the trade media, partners of the airport management and passengers involved with the airport are always given clearance as required and assisted during their time of visits at the airport.

Mr. Abdul Wahab Mohammed Al Roomi, Director Department of Civil Aviation along with Mr. Ahmed Bukellah Director DCA Operations honored the Airport Police and Airport Pass Section expressing their approval and gratitude for the hardworking efforts contributed throughout 2006.

With the opening of the new arrivals hall, more and more passengers as well as visitors pass regularly through the airport. The Airport Police and staff of the Pass Section took this in stride through 2006 ensuring procedures were followed at all times and in a quick and efficient manner.

Mr. Al Roomi said, "This exceptional performance was highlighted to be the basis of model role behavior to all departments who are encouraged to follow such commitment and dedication. We are grateful to have such a skilled and devoted team of players."
