International and regional media tour DSF venues

The DSF Media Centre is organising a Visiting Journalists Programme where GCC and international members of the Press are taken on an extensive tour of DSF venues.
Starting with the DSF, the programme will run until the end of the shopping fiesta and will give journalists an opportunity to meet key officials of DSF and the Global Village. The first group of 15 journalists that arrived for the programme met with the Chief Executive Officer of DSF, Saeed Al Nabouda, and the Chief Operating Officer, Ibrahim Saleh. The batch also met with the CEO of Global Village, Abdul Redha Ali bin Redha, who briefed the guests on the vision and the aim of Global Village. A tour of the Global Village site was conducted to highlight the excellent infrastructure set in place for visitors.
"The DSF Media Centre is delighted to welcome all visiting journalists during this exciting period of the year and we hope that the message of 'One World. One Family. One Festival' will be conveyed to the world. We invite the media to participate in the 45-day long festivity and share the experience of shopping, winning, and entertainment," said Laila Suhail, DSF CMO.
The visiting group toured the various shopping malls in the city that are hosting different events of DSF. Another favourite halt of the journalists was the Carpet Oasis, a massive collection of carpets and rugs from different regions of the world, being held at the Airport Expo.
The Visiting Journalists Programme is on till the 2nd of February, 2007 and will have members of the media from different parts of the world stay in Dubai for 4 days and 3 nights during which period they will also have the opportunity to gauge the fun and excitement of the biggest and longest edition of Dubai Shopping Festival held yet.
The combined edition of DSF 2006-2007 will run from December 20, 2006 to February 2, 2007. The 45 days of family fun, entertainment and shopping frenzy will offer retrospective glimpses of the 10 previous editions combining the best of the best and promises to be even bigger and better.
