Double your chances with Visa to win AED 500,000 worth of white diamonds and blue topaz

Visa, the world's leading payment solutions provider, has announced an added incentive for Visa customers to use their cards instead of cash during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2006/2007.

Resident and International cardholders that make a purchase with a Credit or Debit card in the UAE during DSF will automatically be entered into a draw to win one of four dazzling Damas necklaces worth AED ½ million in total. Furthermore, by using a Visa or Visa Electron card at selected retail partners, shoppers will be entitled to two automatic entries per transaction into the grand prize draw.

Leading retail outlets participating in the 'Double your Chances' activity, include Bin Hendi outlets (Hugo Boss, Brioni, Zilli, Paul & Shark, Ulyse Nardine, Jacob & Co, Graff, Porsche Design, Japengo, Bella Donna and many more), all Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group outlets, EPPCO/ENOC, Dubai Duty Free and Burger King.

Commenting on the promotional activities for DSF, Stephen Coakley, Marketing Communications Manager for Visa International in the Middle East commented, "This promotion, as with Visa's other activities and promotions throughout the year, is designed to introduce shoppers to the practicality and convenience of using Visa credit and Visa Electron debit cards instead of cash for everyday purchases".

Coakley also spoke about safety and the ease of using Visa Cards stating,

"Visa is committed to educating cardholders on the safety and convenience of using a credit or debit card, we plan on changing the habit of using cash for shopping. Also, by using your Visa card for purchases not only is it safe and convenient, this is a great opportunity for all cardholders to win these prizes without the hassle of filling out forms to enter".


During the six-week Visa DSF promotion, cardholders will have the opportunity to win these unique gem necklaces, inspired by the film, Eragon. There are four Necklaces up for grabs, which have been individually designed and contain precious white diamonds and blue topaz with white gold. The grand prize is worth a sizable DHS 275,000 and with three lucky runner-up prizes worth AED 75,000.

Visa is also set to captivate both residents and visitors with its exciting activities around the epic adventures of the film, Eragon. Selected malls in Dubai have been chosen to offer in-mall instant giveaways. Visit the dragon-shaped Visa/ Eragon kiosks located at selected malls in the Emirate, and you can win instant Visa-Eragon branded gifts. Cardholders will also be able to compete for prizes through extensive radio, SMS and online competitions.
