Dubai World Excellence Center launches employee health & fitness campaign

This campaign covers series of lectures, full body check up and monthly session.

Today was the second in a series of lectures and events aimed at helping BEC'S employees improve their health and well-being.

The lecture on physical education by Dr. Taha Al Rawi, Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the Dubai Medical District, was largely attended by the BEC staff.

Dr. Al Rawi briefed the audience on the importance of physical fitness, especially in a corporate work environment where sitting on ones desk takes up most of the day, leaving very little time for exercise. He also gave tips on health & safety at work.

Mr. Abdul Qader Obaid Ali, Director, Group Internal Audit and Business Excellence said: "A physically strong and emotionally stable workforce is the greatest asset for any organization. At BEC, the well being of employees has always been one of the prime considerations.

'So in line with this policy, the goal of this campaign is to inform our fellow workers of the numerous programs, events and strategies available to them to help improve their overall health. I strongly believe that employees & the organization can benefit greatly from this campaign.'

Lectures on a wide range of topics, such as health and safety at work, general emotional well-being, and nutritional education, which are all relevant to today's corporate work environment have been scheduled over the course of the campaign.

The Excellence Center is a corporate department of Dubai World mandated with helping group companies in their business excellence journey.
