RAK taxis, new Dubai route

Taxi services in Ras Al Khaimah are set for a shake-up with a dedicated Dubai route being planned, reported Gulf News. The Dubai only taxis will use the Emirates Highway, while those taxis dropping off passengers in Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain must use the Jazera Al Hamra highway. The decision comes about due to the time it takes, around four hours, for taxis to finally reach Dubai.
