  • Yemen: Saturday, December 30 - 2006 at 11:36

More than 150 people are presumed drowned after two ships capsized off the Yemeni coast, reported The Peninsula. The boats were part of a convoy of four ships carrying more than 500 people from Somalia and Ethiopia who were attempting to enter the country illegally. The ships came under fire from Yemeni security forces and one capsized after becoming unbalanced by its agitated passengers, while the other capsized after being pursued.
