Daman prepares for Phase II of the mandatory health law

In line with its strategy to facilitate enrollment in the Health Insurance Scheme, Daman - The National Health Insurance Company has announced the commencement of registration and issuance of individual and small group policies to applicants.
"With the second phase of the Health Insurance Law commencing next week, we would like to ensure that all subscribers are aware of application procedures and requirements. This will help us in making their registration process much easier and faster," said Dr. Michael Bitzer, CEO of Daman. He added that "Daman has established additional Services Points at the Departments of Preventive Medicine to process the Abu Dhabi Plan Polices for individuals meeting certain criteria."

Daman branches are located in the Bateen Area next to the Central Bank, Musaffah area opposite Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Al Ain in the Al Ain Post Office Building, and in Madinat Zayed - Western Region, in the Tamm Center.Customers applying for individual insurance policies are kindly requested to present a completed application form, a copy of their passport and residency, a proof of salary in the form of a salary certificate or employment contract, a colored passport-size photograph, a copy of their sponsor's passport and a valid UAE Health Card if available.
Companies with 50 employees or less who wish to apply for Daman insurance policies as a group must provide a completed group application form signed by the employer, a copy of the applicants' passports and residencies, colored passport-size photographs of all applicants, and the company's trade license. Companies employing 2-10 employees must provide completed application forms for each applicant.
Additional Service Points at Preventive Medicine
To facilitate this process and to ease the accessibility, Daman has set up additional Service Points in the Department of Preventive Medicine Facilities located on Abu Dhabi Island, and Al Ain City and Madinat Zayed.
This measure was taken in order to exclusively serve our customers applying for Daman's Abu Dhabi Plan -employees earning less than 4,000 Dhs as a total monthly salary- and are for personal sponsorships category.
This category includes for example: housemaids, nannies, drivers, taxi drivers and transportation drivers, maintenance workers, agricultural workers, security guards, cleaners, helpers, etc. As well as residents not permitted to work (Individuals sponsored by their family members such as parents, children, spouse or relatives). Regarding the Receiving and Submission Timings, it is as follows:
Receiving applications starts from 7 am till 2:30 pm, where as the Submission of cards will be on the following day, starting from 11 A.M.
These customers are kindly requested to present a completed application form, a copy of their passport and residency, a proof of salary in the form of a salary certificate of employment contract, a colored passport-size photograph, a copy of their sponsor's passport and a copy of a valid UAE Health Card if available.
Companies with over 50 employees will be serviced through the Daman main office, while individual applicants and small companies will be mainly serviced in the company's four branches. Working hours in branches are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday through Thursday; however timing can be extended in accordance with customer needs.
