In the past two weeks, the Lexus Mega Raffle draw has gained immense popularity amongst shoppers and visitors alike with the massive daily prizes offered to winners.

Two Lexus cars, the LX470 and the ES350, and AED 100,000 offered as prizes have seen a huge rush in ticket sales all over Dubai. The Nissan Mega Raffle and the Gold Raffle are equally popular, with a brand new Nissan and one kilo of gold given away everyday. In the past two weeks of the shopping festival, an amazing AED 11.5 million worth of prizes have been distributed to winners.

An addition to the already exciting Lexus raffle is the fortnightly draw where 15 winners are chosen to win AED 100,000 in cash amounting to a whopping total of AED 1.5 million. The first fortnightly draw will be held today and is definitely to be looked forward to since the chances of winning are high with 15 hopeful winners chosen than just one.

The only other fortnightly draws will take place on the 18th of January, 2007, where ten winners will emerge and win AED 100,000 totalling AED 1 million, and on the 2nd of February, 2007, where a cash prize of AED 500,000 will give five winners AED 100,000 each. All in all, the Lexus raffle is giving away prizes amounting to a total of AED 25 million, the biggest amount ever disbursed in a single draw in the history of Dubai Shopping Festival.

As of now, DSF has handed over 28 Lexus and 14 Nissan cars, a massive 14 kilos of gold, and cash prizes worth AED 1.4 million. A total of 90 Lexus and 45 Nissan cars will be given away by the end of the shopping festival.

Ibrahim Saleh, Chief Operating Officer of DSF mentioned that DSF 2006-2007 was attracting a lot of visitors.

"Compared to the same period of previous editions of DSF the past two weeks have seen an overwhelming increase of visitors, tourists, and shoppers. This has had an extremely positive impact on revenues in shopping malls and retail outlets, and hotels are witnessing increased occupancy rates."

"The huge turnout of people for this year's shopping festival has been mainly due to the festive season and the many exciting events that DSF has organized. In line with the theme of shopping, winning, and entertainment, the daily raffle draws have also become a major attraction for shoppers and fulfilled their dreams by rewarding them for choosing Dubai as their shopping destination," said Ibrahim Saleh.

The Nissan raffle draw entitles shoppers to one raffle coupon from participating outlets. Each outlet has a minimum amount at which the coupon is available. The Nissan Patrol, Armada, Pathfinder, Murano, Altima, Tiida, and the Sunny are being won at the Nissan raffle draw. The winner for the day will get his prize by choosing from Nissan models the names of which will be placed in a bowl.

Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group has lined up winnings of 45 kilos of gold providing a great opportunity for shoppers to win 1kg of gold everyday for 45 days. A raffle coupon is obtained on AED 500 worth of jewellery purchases that makes shoppers eligible for the one kilo gold daily bonanza.

The three raffle draws are part of DSF's initiative to provide unbelievable rewards to shoppers, visitors, and tourists in line with the theme of shopping, winning, and entertainment. The biggest and the longest edition of the festival held yet, DSF 2006-2007 will run from 20th December, 2006 until 2nd February, 2007.
