  • United Arab Emirates: Saturday, January 06 - 2007 at 15:20

Dubai is set to add more than 10,000 new hotel rooms to its existing capacity of 40,000, made up of 31,000 hotel rooms and 9,000 apartments, according to figures released by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and cited by Emirates Today. It is hoped the additional rooms will help lower rates which last year rose to an average of Dhs575 as opposed to Dhs512 in 2005.
