Toshiba Sunday announced the launch of the new Satellite 1410 notebook series with a hassle-free optional upgrade to wireless connectivity.

"The new series is ideal for the budget conscious consumers looking for a powerful, feature-rich notebook," said Ahmed Khalil, Middle East sales and marketing manager of Toshiba's Dubai-based computer systems division.

The Satellite 1410 series has DVD or DVD/CD-RW drive and TV out, and can be used for gaming, watching movies and creating music.

The new series is fully equipped with across-the-board communication capabilities to keep users connected. With an international V.90 modem, internal Fast InfraRed and LAN, they can gain easy access to home or office networks from anywhere and synchronise information with PDAs, mobile phones and printers.

Featuring a 14.0" TFT display and the latest NVIDIA GeForce4™ 420 Go graphics chip with 16MB of dedicated video memory, 256MB of RAM, a Mobile Intel® Celeron™ processor up to 1.8GHz, and up to 30GB hard disk drive, the Satellite® 1410 series provides a high-quality multimedia experience without breaking a budget.

Like all other Toshiba notebooks, the Satellite 1410 series comes under 3 years warranty from date of purchase and covers every component in the system against failure or malfunction.

The series is one of Toshiba's new range of products to be displayed at GITEX Dubai from 13 to 17 October. "We are aiming to attract considerable interest among both the mobile professional and the consumers looking for outstanding power and performance at the best possible price," explained Ahmed khalil.
