British born Edgeworth, takes up the newly created position after a year as TNT UAE's National Major Accounts Manager, where he was focussing on driving and growing the company's customer base and market share in key vertical sectors.
"James will be responsible for the entire sales force, from cash and small to medium customers, to major and global account clients," said Bryan Moulds, Country General Manager, TNT UAE.
"Our UAE business has grown by over 25% this year and this new role is pivotal to the continued success of TNT across the Emirates."
Edgeworth has worked for TNT for nearly six years in various senior level positions and holds an Honours degree in Politics and Contemporary History from the UK.
"By employing people who fully understand the very different requirements of varying industries, we hope to fulfil our clients' rising expectations as their number one global logistics provider," added Moulds.
"The UAE market is considered key to TNT's regional expansion plans and we expect to see an increase in volumes here over the next one to three years."
