Sami Ayari appointed as new General Manager of Banyan Tree Desert Spa and Resort, Al Areen

Mr. Ayari joined the award-winning hotel chain in July 2005 as the Hotel Manager of Banyan Tree Bangkok. Shortly after this he was appointed Group Manager of the Rooms Division, followed by Group Director of Business Development for the African Continent and Europe, spearheading the company's ambitious expansion plans.

In his new capacity, Mr. Ayari is ultimately responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing all the operational and strategic activities in the exclusive resort. Holding a diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management from the international Centre of Glion and over 18-years operating experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge, business acumen and skill to his new position. He is also fluent in Arabic, French, English, German and Italian.

Mr. Ayari believes a hotel's primary asset is its associates. By consistently striving to nurture and maximise the talents of each individual, he promises to take hotel service to the next level. A native of Tunisia, Mr. Ayari enjoys golf and spending time with his wife and two sons.
