- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, January 11 - 2007 at 11:43
- PRESS RELEASE
Samsung Gulf Electronics, a leading provider of mobile phones and telecom systems, announced the launch of Samsung E250, a VGA camera slider phone with full-featured functionality and sleekly stylish design.
The E250's gigantic 2" LCD screen boasts a superior 65536 Color TFT display with image resolution of 128x160 pixels for remarkably vivid, crisp pictures. Users can view pictures, play games, watch video clips, or simply shoot and snap with the luxury of one of the best quality screens. With Black and white GUI, the menu is highlighted using striking colors against a black background which allows clear viewing of the various options.
Spontaneous moments and precious memories can be captured with the VGA Camera - the embedded camera lens with 4X digital zoom allows for flexible framing options. With all the features of a mini-camcorder, the E250 records up to an hour of video with sound. The E250 incorporates a built-in MP3 player that virtually eliminates the need for a separate device with a storage capacity limited only to the external memory added via MicroSD. To further accommodate to all audio needs, integrated is a radio FM tuner to listen to local or national news and music.
The perfect phone for students and young professionals with maximum efficiency, the E250 has a wide connectivity platform including Bluetooth 2.0, USB, and EDGE platform. Bluetooth technology enables communication with other compatible devices to remain in sync with university friends and others at all times. EDGE software means speedier data transmissions, for faster downloads and file transfers, a particular useful feature for business date inquiry. MMS and EMS is a breeze with JAVA technology and WAP 2.0 providing easy access to a wide range of content and applications.
The E250 comes with several advanced features. With uMenu, users can create a convenient personalized menu for frequently-used features. In case of misplacing the device, uTrack sends an SMS to a pre-designated number to alert the owner of SIM card changes, boosting the chance of recovering the phone. SOS Message also sends an SMS alert, like a silent alarm, in case of emergency in times of distress. In addition, with the Auto Time setting, the phone automatically adapts to any GSM environment across different time zones - perfect for frequent travelers.
"The E250 is a mobile with the right combination of both sophistication and simplicity" says, Steve Han, General Manager of Samsung Gulf Electronics mobile division. "With its sleek design and bundle of features, the E250 will strive a long way in the Middle East market."
The Samsung E250 has been released in the Middle East in December 2006. The E250 will be launched in silver and by February color options will also be available.
