Nestle to set up manufacturing facility in Techno Park

Salma Hareb, CEO Jafza and Economic Zones World today signed an agreement on behalf of Techno Park with Nestle, under which Nestle will set up its Middle East manufacturing facility in Techno Park.
Speaking on the occasion, Salma Hareb said, "Nestle has been a longstanding partner of Jafza, and its expansion into Techno Park is not only a mark of its success in Dubai and the Jebel Ali Free Zone, but also speaks volumes of the confidence and trust it bestows upon us."
The Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Nestle Middle East FZE, Jean-Louis Chaumeil said, "The base of Middle East operations in the Jebel Ali Free Zone has enabled Nestle to successfully cater to the needs of the entire region, and Nestle's expansion into Techno Park is a testament to the growth and expansion it enjoys in Dubai, and in partnership with Jafza. We are also proud to be part of the industrial development of Dubai."
Nestle Middle East was set up in 1997 in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), and serves the Middle East market through its regional headquarters in Jafza in Dubai.
Ground-breaking for the facility, for which Nestle has leased approximately 100,000 sq meters of land in Techno Park, is scheduled to be held on February 8 this year. The first phase of the facility will be operational by the End of 2007.
