MTE Studios partners with Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture & Heritage

Cape Town and Dubai based MTE Studios, specializing in themed architecture and edutainment exhibitions, and Juma al-Majid Centre for Culture & Heritage signed an agreement for sharing resources today at the latter's premises.
Focused on increasing knowledge and understanding Muslim contributions, 'Sultans of Science' started its global journey from, Cape Town in November 2006, to ensure its message is far reaching through science centers and museums around the world. The content features over 30 interactive displays with information on inventions, innovations and discoveries covering a broad spectrum of science topics such as astronomy, mathematics, medicine, optics amongst others, which were ahead of its time.
Delighted with the agreement signing, Mr. Juma Al Majid stated: "The Heritage Centre holds a wealth of resources including manuscripts, texts and other valuable documents on Islamic History, Culture and Arts, some of them dating centuries back. By signing this agreement with MTE Studios, we are imparting historical knowledge through a more modern and ingenious medium that is more accessible to the younger generation."
Juma al-Majid Centre for Culture & Heritage is home to over 250,000 book titles and 100,000 manuscripts, the ideal for students and researchers from all over the world. The Centre restores books and manuscripts, and allows researchers the use of its priceless collection.
Ludo Verheyen, Director of MTE Studios replied to Mr. Al Majid's statement saying: "MTE Studios values education more than anything and in today's world, education has to be presented with a culturally valuable message accurately and in a medium that attracts children. We have the skills and experience to create educational interactive displays that are more accessible to the younger generation today, but extensive resources are always necessary to achieve our projects. Having access to Juma Al Majid Centre is an ideal resource for any researcher on the History of Islam."
Both exhibitions seek to reinforce the scientific cooperation and cultural exchange, and to preserve the rich Islamic and Arabic culture and heritage and make the world aware of Islamic culture and Muslim contribution towards Science and Technology.
